Abstract

This article analyzes the current level of digitalization in the Russian construction industry, highlighting the critical need for an evolution from the sporadic use of individual digital tools (BIM, ERP, GIS, and mobile technologies) to the creation of an integrated digital ecosystem for managing construction projects. The article highlights the factors contributing to the fragmentation of digital infrastructure, particularly the organizational and contractual aspects that prevail over the technical ones. The concept of an ecosystem is expanded to a universal platform where all participants in the construction process are connected through continuous information exchange, mutual trust, and shared responsibility. The experience of Russian construction projects shows that the key to successful digital integration lies in fundamental changes to management culture: standardization of processes, appointment of digital asset managers, and modification of contract policies.
