ADAPTATION OF AGILE PRACTICES FOR TEAM DISTRIBUTION IN THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION CONTEXT
Abstract
In the context of digital transformation and the widespread adoption of distributed work formats, the adaptation of agile project management methodologies becomes increasingly important. Agile approaches, originally designed for co-located teams, require significant modification to remain effective in remote and hybrid environments. This article examines the theoretical foundations of agile methodologies and the specific characteristics of distributed teams operating in a digital environment. The study identifies key challenges associated with the application of classical agile practices in remote settings, including changes in communication processes, reduced informal interaction, and shifts in team dynamics. Particular attention is paid to the mechanisms for adapting agile practices through the use of digital platforms, asynchronous communication, and hybrid management models. Based on the analysis of contemporary research and managerial practices, the paper substantiates directions for improving the effectiveness of agile management in distributed teams under conditions of digital transformation. The findings may be applied in organizations implementing projects in distributed formats and contribute to the further development of agile management theory.
