Abstract

The article examines the features and dynamics of foreign trade relations between Russia and Italy in the agricultural sector in 2020–2024. The indicators of exports and imports were analyzed, the factors influencing the reduction in trade turnover were identified, and the impact of the sanctions policy of the European Union and changes in logistics conditions was assessed. Special attention is paid to the issues of increasing transportation costs, increasing delivery times, rebuilding routes and finding alternative supply routes. Promising vectors for restoring cooperation are presented, including technological and investment cooperation, localization of production and the development of innovative solutions in the agricultural sector. It is concluded that the potential of a mutually beneficial partnership between Russia and Italy based on flexibility, technological adaptation and diversification of foreign economic relations remains.
