METHODOLOGICAL SYNTHESIS AND OPERATIONALIZATION OF THE CONCEPT OF WELFARE: CURRENT DISCOURSES IN RUSSIAN ECONOMIC THOUGHT
Abstract
The paper analyzes the transformation of the concept of well-being in present Russian economics. It criticizes the reliance on aggregate indicators (GDP, income) and justifies the transition to multidimensional indices that take into account social inequality, regional differences, and subjective well-being. It identifies a vector of movement toward a value-based development model, where well-being becomes a key goal of economic policy.
