Abstract

The objective of the study is to develop scientific and practical recommendations for building a risk management system aimed at increasing the strategic and operational sustainability of construction companies, taking into account the complex interaction of industry and regional specifics. Main results of the study: the theoretical and methodological foundations of risk management in construction are considered; the results of the analysis and assessment of risks of construction organizations in the context of the current crisis are presented; a systems approach to integrating risk management into the strategy of a construction company is reflected; recommendations for increasing the sustainability of construction organizations are developed. Research materials: data reflecting the state and dynamics of the construction complex in the national and regional context for 2018–2024, as well as regulatory and analytical information. Research methods: systems approach, abstract logical method, induction, deduction, comparative and contrastive analysis, analysis of statistical time series, systematization, economic and mathematical modeling and forecasting, tabular method of data visualization. Main conclusions of the study: within the framework of the study, a systems model for integrating risk management processes into the general contour of strategic management was developed and substantiated. It has been demonstrated that the effectiveness of such integration is achieved through risk-based decision-making in the areas of order portfolio formation, market selection, and pricing, as well as through the creation of a subsystem for monitoring industry and regional indicators for early crisis warning. Based on this, a set of interconnected recommendations has been developed, including strategic actions for diversification and vertical integration, operational anti-crisis procedures, and measures to exploit new opportunities, with mandatory adaptation of the proposed measures to specific regions.
