ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTIONS OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF THE LEVEL AND BARRIERS TO IMPLEMENTATION
Abstract
This article presents the results of a study on the entrepreneurial intentions of students in Russia. The empirical basis was formed by data from an anonymous survey of over 4000 students from Russian universities. Regression analysis revealed a moderate level of entrepreneurial intentions (mean scores ranging from 2,8 to 3,2 on a 5‑point Likert scale). Key barriers were identified, with financial constraints being the most significant (4,2 points), followed by administrative hurdles and fear of failure. A positive influence of family entrepreneurial experience and relevant (business) education on the formation of intentions was established.
