INTERNATIONAL STRATEGIES IN THE CONTEXT OF CHANGING TRADE RELATIONS BETWEEN RUSSIA AND THE BRICS COUNTRIES
Abstract
This article examines structural shifts in mutual trade among BRICS countries, influencing international management strategies and instruments through the logic of global value chains, using the Russian Federation as an example. The theoretical component draws on classical and contemporary theories of international management, including comparative advantage, production fragmentation concepts, and global value chains. Indirect proxy indicators of Russia’s participation in value chains serve as the empirical core. The findings demonstrate that Russia’s trade structure, as a BRICS member, is becoming more diversified, necessitating changes in the international strategies and management instruments applied to ensure their adequacy in the current global trade environment amid sanctions restrictions.
