THE ROLE OF DIGITALIZATION IN MANAGING ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE IN MODERN COMPANIES
Abstract
The article explores the role of digitalization in managing organizational change in modern companies. The relevance of the work is due to the high proportion of unsuccessful digital transformation projects, while recognizing its strategic necessity. The purpose of the study is to identify and systematize the functional role of digitalization in the transformation of change management mechanisms. The methodological basis is based on systemic, process and cybernetic approaches, which make it possible to consider an organization as an integral socio-managerial system operating in a digital environment. The study identified the main directions of transformation of the management architecture under the influence of digitalization: the transition to distributed decision-making, strengthening the analytical function of management, the formation of hybrid digital-human teams, the development of digital management roles. The main organizational problems of digital change are identified, including institutional inertia, a shortage of digital competencies and the dominance of a technological approach without taking into account cultural factors. The functional aspects of the role of digitalization are systematized – strategic, organizational-structural, technological and behavioral, allowing us to consider digitalization as a multidimensional factor of managerial transformation.
