THE USE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN AVIATION LOGISTICS AND PROSPECTS FOR ITS DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITALIZATION
Abstract
This article explores the potential for integrating digital technologies into the aviation industry, with a focus on automating airport service processes. The air cargo industry currently faces challenges related to fluctuations in global supply chains and increasing regulatory complexity. The modern economy is a dynamically developing system characterized by the widespread use of information and communication technologies and digital solutions that drive global change. As a result, a new economy is emerging, known as the digital economy, or Industry 4.0. Logistics activities within Industry 4.0 require a serious rethinking of approaches, methods, and technologies for their implementation. Therefore, studying the feasibility of applying digital technologies and identifying the prospects and conditions for their development has become relevant. This article presents the results of a study of the main trends in the application of digital technologies in logistics. The factors stimulating and hindering the digitalization of logistics activities are identified. Examples are provided and the experience of using digital technologies in logistics operations at leading enterprises is summarized. Currently, digitalization is an absolute global trend in the development of all sectors of the economy, and logistics is no exception. The implementation of modern digital technologies in the practical operations of logistics companies will enable them to improve business processes and strategic planning methods, enhance the economic efficiency and productivity of transport and logistics processes, improve interactions between all participants in the transportation market, and enhance the safety, quality, and level of service provided. The digitalization of logistics affects not only the information systems that support the movement of materials and manage the development of infrastructure for various modes of transport, but also trade exchange systems, production, and the management of all key business processes of transport and logistics companies in organizing passenger and freight transportation and supply chain management. The digitalization of logistics should be based on the creation of a reliable internal digital foundation within companies and the implementation of new business models and services.
