A STUDY OF INCREASING THE INTELLIGENCE OF COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN SYSTEMS FOR TECHNICAL OBJECTS
Abstract
The modern development of digital technologies and the increasing complexity of technical design objects necessitate increasing the intelligence of computer-aided design systems (CAD/CAE/CAM). Traditional CAD systems, focused primarily on geometric and parametric modeling, are insufficiently effective when solving problems of multi-criteria optimization, working under uncertainty, and supporting design decision making. This article provides a review of modern scientific research devoted to methods and algorithms for intelligent design procedures. Approaches to system analysis, artificial intelligence, machine and deep learning, generative design, agent-based technologies, and hybrid models are considered. The main development trends of intelligent CAD systems, their advantages, and limitations are analyzed. It is shown that further development in this field is associated with the formalization of design data, the integration of intelligent methods, and the creation of adaptive algorithms to support design decisions. Keywords: computer-aided design systems, intellectualization, systems analysis, artificial intelligence, CAD/CAE, generative design.
