Abstract

Introduction: World Health Organization recommends that pregnant women immediately consult a health professional at the onset of malaria symptoms. However, the seeking of pregnant women to malaria management within 24 hours in health centres remains low in our context. We assessed the factors influencing early seeking of pregnant women to malaria management in health centres. Methods: A mixed-methods study was conducted in the Boussé health district from November to December 2024. The study combined quantitative interviews, in-depth individual interviews and focus group discussions with pregnant women, healthcare providers, and community-based health workers. Quantitatively, associated factors were assessed through a multivariate logistic regression, an odds ratio with 95% confidence interval and a p-value
