PHOTOTHERAPY METHODS IN TREATMENT OF ORAL LICHEN PLANUS
Abstract
Recently, phototherapy has been actively used as an alternative or adjunctive treatment modality of oral lichen planus (OLP). The analysis of 20 studies and 15 reviews on various phototherapeutic methods revealed that none of them has been proven more effective as monotherapy than corticosteroids. This conclusion justifies further research into finding effective treatment regimens for OLP.
