ASSESSMENT OF CORROSION RESISTANCE OF DENTAL INSTRUMENTS UNDER PROCESSING IN SUB- AND SUPERCRITICAL CARBON DIOXIDE CONDITIONS
Abstract
This study focuses on combating corrosion of dental instruments. A protective system comprising an electrospark TiB/α-Ti coating that substantially reduces degradation, combined with mild disinfection using sub-/supercritical CO₂, has been developed. The methodology demonstrates a synergistic protective effect. An economic-mathematical model confirms the cost-effectiveness of this approach. The obtained results lay the foundation for enhancing infection control systems in dental practice.
