Abstract

Portal vein stenosis (PVS) is a prevalent complication following pediatric liver transplantation, frequently causing portal hypertension and its associated complications, and serves as a critical prognostic factor in pediatric liver transplantation. With the rapid advancement of pediatric liver transplantation techniques in recent years, multiple liver transplant centers worldwide have reported on the diagnosis and treatment of PVS post-transplantation. This article reviews the influencing factors, diagnostic methods, and therapeutic approaches for PVS, while incorporating the author's center's clinical experience in managing post-transplant PVS. The aim is to explore the optimal clinical management strategy for PVS, providing valuable insights for clinical practice.
