Abstract

The goal is to study issues of inclusion of schoolchildren and students with Asperger’s syndrome in the educational environment of the school and university. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the development of an integrative correctional and developmental approach to the problems of supporting students with disabilities and to social inclusion in general. The methodology involves theoretical and empirical study of the issues of inclusion of schoolchildren and students with Asperger’s syndrome in the educational environment of the school and university. Results. Bullying is an important criterion, as a manifestation of trouble in an educational institution. The presence of bullying indicates that the existing violations have gone beyond random and have become systemic, typical for an educational institution. It also suggests the necessity of systematic work to reorganize relations in an educational institution. Research implications. Many attempts to support inclusive education for students with Asperger’s syndrome, as well as students with other disabilities and retarded developmental, need theoretical (re)consideration. The notion of the syndrome itself and its carriers is changing, and the practices / methods of support are changing both in special and in inclusive education. Theoretical and empirical study of issues related to inclusion of schoolchildren and challenged students (using the example of students with Asperger’s syndrome) in the educational environment of schools and universities provides an opportunity to offer a set of recommendations for psychological and pedagogical support for inclusion and to develop programs for inclusion of such students in the educational environment of their schools and universities. The prospects of the study are related with further development of an integrative model of inclusive coaching.
