Al-Quran-Based Character Education Model In Digital Madrasah
Abstract
Quranic-Based Character Education in Digital Madrasah: An Ecosystem Model. Purpose: This study formulates a conceptual model for Quranic-based character education in digital madrasah amid Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with a PRISMA-based systematic review design, examining scholarly books, SINTA-indexed national journal articles, reputable international journals, and relevant theses. The literature search and selection process involved identification, screening, and eligibility assessment, using predetermined inclusion criteria. The initial search yielded 50 publications, which were then selected to yield 30 scientific papers for systematic analysis. Data were analyzed using structured content analysis and cross-study thematic synthesis, thus ensuring a systematic-analytical approach to SLR rather than qualitative field research.. The study's findings demonstrate a gap between the predominantly manual practice of character education in madrasas, and innovations in digital madrasas that emphasize the technical aspects of the platform, over the internalization of values, digital ethics, and Quranic character formation. The study proposes an ecosystem model integrating Quranic values, digital pedagogy, the technological environment (e.g., LMS features), and institutional governance and spiritual leadership. It highlights teacher competence and ethical digital culture as prerequisites for sustainable character formation. The model enriches Islamic education theory and guides curriculum, platform, and policy design to nurture Quranic character. Future research should test it across varied madrasah contexts.
