Abstract

The Palaearctic species groups of the subgenus Orosagrotis and their taxonomically relevant traits are considered. The Central-Inner Asiatic–Himalayan–Tibetan Euxoa (O.) cashmirensis (Hampson, 1903) species group is defined, five new species (Euxoa (O.) spiti, E. (O.) kunjerabi, E. (O.) baktayi, E. (O.) brecklei and E. (O.) storaiae spp. n.) are described; the taxonomy and biogeography of the species complex are discussed. All taxa of the species group and their genitalia are illustrated.
