Abstract

The association of Saotis mirabilis Schmiedeknecht, 1914 with roses, which was already mentioned in the original description, is confirmed, as it attacks a stem-mining rose-wilt sawfly, very probably Cladardis elongatula (Klug, 1817). The species is transferred to the reinstated genus Iskarus Kolarov, 1987 stat. nov., resulting in the new name Iskarus mirabilis (Schmiedeknecht, 1914) comb. nov.
