Abstract

Mesenteric cysts are rare benign intra -abdominal lesions, particularly uncommon in the pediatric population. They may remain asymptomatic or present with acute abdominal emergencies when complicated by volvulus, hemorrhage, or infection. We report a rare case of a mesenteric cyst presenting as midgut volvulus in a 5 -year-old female child, successfully managed with emergency surgical resection. Early diagnosis and prompt surgical intervention are crucial to prevent bowel ischemia and associated morbidity.
