Abstract

Experienced book indexer Stephen Ullstrom provides a historical overview of live (‘naked’) indexing presentations before reflecting on his own experiences of indexing in front of an audience. He offers insights into the purpose of a live indexing presentation, the challenges it presents, and the ways the format can be structured to give the best experience to indexer and audience.
