Abstract

Abstract We present new analysis of the cataclysmic variable IGR J14536-5522 observed with the X-ray Imaging Spectrometer onboard the Suzaku satellite. Based on the light curve, we did not confirm the periodicity (3756 s) reported in the literature. Instead, its power spectrum shows a marginal peak near ∼1000 s with a continuously decreasing 1/ f -like component. Additionally, we newly resolved three Iron emission lines (6.4, 6.7, and 7.0 keV), and constrained the physical parameters. However, the model fails to reasonably explain the unexpectedly finer line width of the Fe xxv He α 6.7 keV. This feature is likely caused by a malfunction in the detectors or calibration, or statistical fluctuation.
