Abstract

Free Market Initiatives: Benefits and Distortions from Political Power By Qi Zhang and Bin Zhao Economic Inquiry, 2026 This replication package contains all data and code needed to reproduce the empirical analyses in the paper. The workflow is implemented in Stata, where the final analysis dataset is constructed from two primary data sources. The empirical results in the manuscript (3 figures and 15 tables) are generated using 7 main Stata scripts.
