Code for updating National Neighborhood Data Archive 2020 census tract datasets to Connecticut 2022 geography boundaries
Abstract
This deposit provides code and crosswalk files for updating National Neighborhood Data Archive (NaNDA) 2020 census tract-level datasets to reflect Connecticut's 2022 geography boundary changes. In 2022, the Census Bureau adopted Connecticut's nine planning regions as county equivalents, replacing the eight counties and creating new FIPS codes for Connecticut tracts. This resource includes a crosswalk between 879 Connecticut census tracts and towns, counties, county equivalents, ZIP codes, 2020 PUMAs, and secondary school districts, along with Stata code for applying the crosswalk to NaNDA datasets. The resulting datasets provide national coverage with Connecticut tracts updated to 2022 boundaries. Original crosswalk created by CT Data Collaborative; NaNDA application code developed by Robert Melendez.
