Abstract

This project contains the dataset and replication packages used in the paper, 'Success and failure in England's patent system: New evidence from patent applications, 1783-1834'. The dataset contains 7,343 patent applications filed between 1783 and 1834, which are matched with existing patent grant data. Each Zip file contains the relevant 'README' document.
