Abstract

This study investigates the psychological impact of unique baby boy names on self-esteem and social integration among first-year university students. Through semi-structured interviews conducted via Zoom, Skype, and in-person sessions, data was collected from 20 participants across five major universities. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative assessment of self-esteem metrics with qualitative narrative analysis of personal experiences. Findings reveal a significant correlation between name uniqueness and identity formation processes. Approximately 65% of participants reported that their unique names positively influenced their sense of individuality. Data for naming trends and rarity classifications was sourced from the Unique Boy Names Database (https://uniqueboynames.com), with specific reference to the analysis of unique newborn names and meanings [ https://uniqueboynames.com/unique-names-newborns-meaning/]
