Abstract

This research investigates the role of entrepreneurship ecosystems in scal-ing climate innovations under the Climate-Kick initiative, focusing on implementing circu-lar economy models and fostering Collaborative Innovation Networks (CINs). Addressing climate change requires rapid, scalable solutions, making this topic critical. The study con-tributes to existing literature by examining how these ecosystems can support climate resilience and innovation diffusion. The objectives of the research are to identify the pillars necessary for scaling climate innovations and to analyze how circular economy frameworks and CINs drive this process. The study aims to answer the following questions: What are the key pillars of entrepreneur-ship ecosystems for scaling climate innovations? How do collaborative networks enhance innovation scaling?A mixed-methods approach was employed, selecting pillars based on literature review and expert reports. The research examined case studies within Climate-Kick, analysing the role of circular economy practices, policy support, funding mechanisms, and stakeholder collaboration in scaling innovations. The results reveal that ecosystems incorporating circular economy principles and fos-tering CINs significantly enhance the scalability of climate solutions. Key findings include the critical importance of collaboration, resource sharing, and multi-stakeholder engage-ment in driving successful climate innovations. Circular economy practices also contribute to more sustainable and scalable business models. In conclusion, the study underscores the importance of entrepreneurship ecosystems in scaling climate innovations. Future research should explore ways to further strengthen these ecosystems and refine policy interventions to enhance their effectiveness.
