Abstract

Work Discussion Spaces are a now well-identified managerial lever for supporting the quality of work and, in so doing, building occupational well-being. In studies supporting their operationalization, they often present a generic character, inspired by Detchessahar’s (2019) normative approach, even though numerous lines of tension run through the literature on work discussion spaces (Abord de Chatillon and Desmarais, 2017). Based on a research-intervention conducted within a collective of 7 EHPADs, our research proposes a new approach, both dynamic and differentiated of the development of Work Discussion Spaces, enabling us to move beyond the controversies surrounding this theoretical corpus. Based on a mixed quantitative (calculation of stress exposure scores, 327 respondents) and qualitative (147 individual and group semi-structured interviews) methodology, our study contributes to the literature by uncovering three configurations of dialogue on work that produce variable effects on well-done job and thereby outline three stages of maturity.
