Abstract

Transforming a nursing home into an art center—that’s the bold vision brought to life by the Community Social Action Center (CCAS) of Barberaz, a commune in France. Enlisting the support of the local theater company, Malraux, Scène nationale de Chambéry, the CCAS creates a space where artists care for residents and staff (and vice versa). An approach that defies prejudices and stereotypes.
