Abstract
Increasingly recognized at the national level, the La Maison forte project in Southwestern France reflects the shifting landscape of cultural practice. It does not fit neatly into a single category—neither strictly artistic, nor solely focused on heritage promotion, ecological transition, or the social and solidarity economy (SSE)—but rather weaves together a bit of each. It is also emblematic of a strong rural identity.
