Abstract

Frequency-hopping multiple-access (FHMA) systems offer key advantages such as anti-jamming, anti-fading, multi-access capability, and security, but their performance is limited by mutual-access interference (MAI), which is governed by the Hamming correlation (HC) of the underlying sequences. While low-hit-zone frequency-hopping sequences (LHZ-FHSs) can mitigate MAI by restricting HC to a limited delay region, and wide-gap FHSs (WG-FHSs) improve robustness by enforcing a minimum frequency gap, designing WG-FHS sets that simultaneously satisfy LHZ constraints and achieve strictly optimal partial Hamming correlation (PHC) remains an open challenge. This paper proposes a new construction for such optimal WG-LHZ-FHS sets based on the Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT). We demonstrate that the resulting sequences attain the theoretical lower bound on maximum PHC, thereby providing enhanced interference resistance for FHMA systems.
