Abstract

Summary This paper explores strategies for unlocking subsurface value through digital transformation, focusing on the integration of legacy geoscience data with advanced analytics and cloud technologies. The energy industry faces challenges in managing vast, fragmented datasets that hinder efficient reservoir characterisation and decision-making. Our approach leverages AI-driven workflows and cross-disciplinary integration to streamline data accessibility, improve quality, and enable predictive insights. By digitising historical datasets and deploying scalable cloud solutions, we demonstrate how organisations can reduce operational risk, accelerate project timelines, and enhance collaboration across technical teams. Case studies highlight successful implementations that delivered measurable improvements in data integrity and workflow efficiency. This work underscores the critical role of digital innovation in supporting energy transition goals and optimising subsurface asset performance.
