Abstract

The study of the concept of transculturality in Hemingway's work, as conducted in this special issue, is three-dimensional: experiential, transtextual, and intersubjective. From Hemingway’s perspective, transculturality is a practice inspired by his passion for nature and travel. The possibilities for sharing and transmission that this passionate openness to the forces of life makes possible, mark his work to varying degrees of intensity. His relationship with the Hispanic world in general and Cuba in particular forcefully reflects the transcultural configuration of his writing as well as his biographical journey.
