Abstract

This chapter examines the strategic transformation of immersive technologies, focusing on their integration with artificial intelligence, digital twins, extended reality, and blockchain. It highlights how these technologies reshape value creation, delivery, and capture across sectors such as healthcare, education, manufacturing, and retail. The discussion covers infrastructure requirements, organizational readiness, and user experience, while also addressing challenges like cost, regulation, and digital accessibility. Emphasis is placed on the rise of the metaverse and decentralized platforms, where users engage with virtual assets and services in new economic models. By analyzing both opportunities and barriers, the chapter underscores the need for inclusive design, ethical data use, and cross-sector collaboration. Ultimately, immersive technology is presented not merely as a tool, but as a driver of long-term innovation, organizational adaptability, and sustainable digital transformation.
