Abstract

The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence, algorithmic systems, and digitally mediated workplaces has transformed organizational information systems into behavioral environments that shape employee productivity, cognition, and psychological well-being. Existing organizational information systems literature mainly emphasizes technological efficiency and system adoption while providing limited integration of behavioral psychology, digital well-being, and human-centered workplace design. This chapter addresses this gap by proposing a Behavioral-by-Design framework integrating digital psychology, behavioral design, and organizational information systems to support sustainable digital transformation in AI-mediated workplaces. The proposed framework extends behavioral information systems perspectives toward adaptive and psychologically informed organizational systems while offering strategic recommendations for ethical AI governance and sustainable digital well-being practices.
