Abstract

The intervention of AI and assistive technologies is a new paradigm shift in inclusive education that preconditions new opportunities to personalize learning, improve accessibility, and fulfil the needs of learners with disabilities, special educational needs, and linguistic diversity. The chapter gives an in-depth analysis of the theoretical background, technological use, empirical studies, ethical aspects, and implementation issues related to AI-based inclusive education. Based on recent international research and case studies from seven countries, speech and language processing tools, adaptive learning platforms, multimodal interaction systems, and learning analytics can significantly improve academic performance, engagement, and emotional regulation when implemented with appropriate teacher training, ethical frameworks, and infrastructure support. It concludes with the evidence-based policy that can be embraced by the policymakers, educators and developers of technology to facilitate equitable, ethical and pedagogically viable AI implementation in diverse learning environments.
