Abstract

Neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs) like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's are being treated with advanced technologies like genomics, precision medicine, stem cell therapy, artificial intelligence (AI), and neurodegenerative medicine. These technologies enable personalized therapy tailored to each patient's unique characteristics, improving early detection and intervention before irreversible damage occurs. Stem cell therapies and gene editing tools like CRISPR promise to reverse or slow neurodegeneration by repairing or replacing damaged neurons, potentially restoring cognitive and physical functions. AI and machine learning transform drug discovery by predicting targets, optimizing clinical trials, and simulating treatment efficacy. Cross-disciplinary collaboration between bioengineering and neurology is essential for developing novel therapeutic devices. The future of neurodegenerative disease treatment lies in a comprehensive, patient-centric approach, that integrates cutting-edge technology and scientific research.
