Abstract

This chapter demonstrates how older adults can boost their human capability in a variety of global crises by employing the appropriate tactics and strategies and utilising sustainable neighbourhood resources. Several indicators of human capacity were identified, and different theories were applied to each indicator using systematic procedures. Cognitive function, emotional well-being, social engagement, physical fitness, and resilience are the most important indications here. Using these, they can play an effective role in enhancing the quality of life of older adults, with the consequences being some aspects that are beneficial to older adults in difficult circumstances. Children, older adults, and women are disproportionately affected by crises that produce adverse conditions, such as epidemics, natural catastrophes, and man-made disasters (e.g., wars, conflict). Furthermore, in times of global crisis, vulnerable people of all ages will benefit from these systematic applications, not just older adults.
