Abstract

Regardless of location, entrepreneurship has attracted the attention of scientific literature for more than three decades. Nevertheless, despite this strong commitment, results are still not living up to expectations. To meet the challenge, several programs have been set up. These include entrepreneurship education (EE). However, this theme is still the subject of discussion regarding the training curriculum: content, actors, methods and expected results. With this in mind, and based on available literature and local realities, this study takes stock of EE in DR Congo. It attempts to understand the reason for the gap between the theoretical prescriptions received by students and their actual creation of businesses. This theoretical analysis leads to the construction of a framework adapted to entrepreneurship and its teaching in the developing countries. The results enable us to situate the DRC in terms of the evolution of EE and give us an idea of the country's capacity to produce entrepreneurs by the end of learners' school careers.
