Abstract

This chapter explores how subconscious cognitive and emotional processes influence executive judgment and leadership effectiveness, especially in complex and uncertain conditions. It applies dual-process models of cognition and draws on research from cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and leadership studies. The chapter highlights hypnotherapy as a scientifically supported method for engaging and influencing subconscious processes that affect leadership performance. It covers the neurocognitive basis of hypnotherapy, reviews evidence on attention control, emotional regulation, stress management, and cognitive flexibility, and discusses its use in executive coaching and leadership development. Ethical and professional standards are also considered to ensure responsible application within organizations. Overall, hypnotherapy is presented as a credible, evidence-based tool for improving decision-making and leadership skills.
