Abstract

This chapter examines the integration of music into play therapy as a powerful catalyst for children's holistic development, framed through the concept of neuroplasticity. It synthesizes interdisciplinary research demonstrating how musical interventions enhance cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical domains by stimulating neural connectivity. Grounded in developmental theories and empirical findings, the chapter outlines evidence-based strategies that improve memory, language, emotional regulation, social interaction, and motor coordination. Case studies involving children with autism, trauma, and developmental delays illustrate real-world applications. The chapter concludes with practical recommendations for practitioners and educators and proposes directions for future research to optimize inclusive, music-based therapeutic practices.
