Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of an inclusive postsecondary education program's approach to career development, with the intention of providing a model that other programs may wish to consider. The approach is fundamentally holistic in that it is infused throughout the program across most program components and not simply addressed within a career development course or curriculum. How the program uses person-centered planning and concepts, such as dignity of risk, natural supports, and soft skill development, are described. Examples of student successes and challenges are included, along with plans for future directions and directions for researchers to consider.
