Abstract

In today's rapidly evolving world, characterized by continuous technological advancements and increasingly complex global challenges, the need to equip learners with innovative, adaptive, and solution-oriented mindsets has become more critical than ever. Design thinking—a human-centered, iterative process of problem-solving—has emerged as a powerful pedagogical framework capable of addressing these demands. Integrating design thinking into educational curricula is no longer a peripheral consideration but a strategic necessity for cultivating future designers who are not only technically proficient but also empathetic, creative, and collaborative. This chapter delves into the significance of design thinking as a multidisciplinary approach that transcends traditional boundaries in education. It fosters the development of essential 21st-century skills, including creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration.
