Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) has become a critical focus for organizations aiming to balance economic performance with environmental and social responsibility. This survey chapter explores the key principles, strategies, and practices that drive sustainable supply chains, including green procurement, circular economy integration, and digital innovation. It explores implementation frameworks, such as ISO standards and ESG reporting, and highlights real-world applications across industries like automotive, agriculture, fashion, and logistics. The chapter also discusses major challenges, such as regulatory complexities, cost barriers, and accountability issues, while outlining future directions involving emerging technologies, governance models, and regenerative design.
