Abstract

Access to healthcare in rural areas remains a challenge in Morocco; telemedicine offers a new approach to primary care; however, its integration faces challenges; our study aims to explore how these challenges are perceived by institutional stakeholders in Morocco; this is a retrospective qualitative study of a pilot project; The study showed that there is a very positive perception of the usefulness of telemedicine in terms of improving accessibility, technological development, service quality, and human resource optimization. However, its integration is conditioned by several factors, including human factors, organizational conditions, and contextual factors. AI offers several advantages and can help overcome certain challenges. The integration of telemedicine requires a multidimensional approach that takes into account the complexity of the Moroccan healthcare system and leverages the advantages of AI.
