Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming logistics and supply chain management (SCM) by enhancing efficiency, automation, and decision-making. AI-driven technologies such as machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and robotics are optimizing key areas, including demand forecasting, inventory management, transportation planning, supplier risk assessment, and last-mile delivery. Emerging innovations like AI-powered blockchain integration and quantum computing further enhance transparency, security, and computational efficiency in supply chain networks. Despite these advancements, challenges such as data integration, cybersecurity risks, ethical concerns, and high implementation costs remain. This chapter explores AI's role in logistics, its benefits, challenges, and future trends. By leveraging AI-driven solutions, businesses can achieve smarter, more resilient, and sustainable supply chains in an increasingly digitalized world.
