Abstract

Numerous neurophysiological and biochemical factors can either impede or facilitate the learning process by affecting the brain's structure and function. The findings of neuroscience research provide substantial scientific evidence suggesting that emotional states, such as motivation, attention, stress, and anxiety, have a direct impact on the process of learning. Neuropedagogy provides educators with insights to enhance their understanding of individual learners by approaching neurologically based expressions that directly affect learning from a neuroscientific perspective. This chapter clarifies the neurophysiological effects of emotional states, including motivation, attention, stress, and anxiety, on learning. Additionally, it will address the cognitive aspect of how these factors influence the learning process.
