Abstract

The application of artificial intelligence benefits both offensive and defensive operations by implementing new tactics in cyber warfare. The black hat hackers employ AI to trick users, create deep fakes, and automate tasks. The white hat hackers, however, employ machine learning to detect anomalies, react to intrusions, and predict potential issues. Challenges are encountered in cases where AI systems are in competition since it is difficult to monitor weapon use and demands human oversight. As threats to cyberspace keep increasing, the application of AI is necessary to ensure online safety.
