Abstract

Despite significant progress in cancer therapy, achieving precise, localized elimination of tumor cells without harming healthy tissue remains a challenge. Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are versatile agents with therapeutic and diagnostic potential, yet current systems are limited by heat-only effects, lack of real-time feedback, and empirical design. This chapter presents next-generation nanoplatforms that integrate magneto-mechanical actuation, temperature-sensitive self-reporting, and AI-driven optimization. Three approaches are highlighted: (i) magneto-mechanical oscillators that disrupt cancer cells under low-frequency magnetic fields; (ii) phase-change reporter hybrids enabling simultaneous therapy and real-time imaging; and (iii) multi-modal supraparticles optimized by machine learning for imaging, heating, and drug delivery. Emphasis is placed on scalable fabrication, biocompatibility, and clinical translation. The chapter provides a roadmap for programmable nanomedicine with implications for researchers, clinicians, and industry stakeholders.
