Abstract

The integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) into key domains like finance and healthcare is transforming intelligent automation and decision-making. This chapter examines LLM applications in fraud detection and financial forecasting, as well as in clinical support and patient interaction. In finance, LLMs analyze transaction data, user behavior, and financial texts to detect fraud and enhance predictive insights from news, reports, and sentiment. In healthcare, they support diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient communication by processing and generating human-like medical language. The chapter outlines practical implementation frameworks, highlights challenges in data governance and compliance, and addresses concerns around model transparency and fairness. By presenting cross-industry use cases, this work illustrates how LLMs can generate actionable insights and drive innovation while upholding ethical and operational standards.
