Abstract

As e-commerce becomes an integral part of global consumption patterns, questions of environmental impact, ethical sourcing, and digital responsibility have grown increasingly urgent. This chapter explores how the e-commerce industry can transition from a model driven by convenience and speed to one rooted in social responsibility and sustainability. It examines the intersection of technology, consumer behavior, and corporate ethics, emphasizing the role of digital platforms in shaping conscious commerce. Key focus areas include ethical consumer engagement, sustainable logistics, transparency in supply chains, and the use of digital innovation such as AI and blockchain to support responsible business practices.
